Yes! There are more wats to be seen.

Due to technical and timing conflicts, we have fallen woefully behind in our posting. 
Therefore, we are changing out postings to almost exclusively show photographic images with short captions while seeking to post more days to make up for our almost 2 month backlog.

This massive Meditating Buddha was an unexpected surprise as we walked deeper into this well maintained compound. This facility carries a spirit of peace and meditation which we have not experienced in the urban wats.
Just a fun aside. One wonders what this poster expects of the toilet user and even MORE "Why is it needed?"
Many visitors to the more modern facilities, which have porcelain commodes, are from rural areas, are accustomed to placing their feet on either side of a small hole and squatting, and have no knowledge of modern sanitation facilities. The red slash means "DO NOT stand on the seat or lip of the commode!"  The red check says "Use the commode in this manner.
